Helena, MT – You might have voted “no” to the Lewis and Clark county public safety bond, but the county has already spent some of your money towards the project.
Lewis and Clark county commissioners approved more than 1.3 Million dollars towards the new jail. 1.1 million dollars of it was spent purchasing the 40 acre property north of Super One Foods.
Chairman Andy Hunthausen says these five years of planning will not go to waste.
“Look at the possibility of revamping the plan or changing the structure of the facility all the data is relevant.” Said Hunthausen
Hunthausen says even though the bond failed this issue will not go away.
